Arline (Swan) MacKillop, 99, of Bryant Pond went home September 11, 2025. She was born in Bryant Pond the daughter of Porter and Verna (Whitman) Swan and lived here all her life. She graduated from Woodstock High School in 1944.
She married Howard MacKillop on April 7, 1946
Arline attended the Bryant Pond Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years
She and Howard operated a grocery store in Bryant Pond for 15 years selling the store in 1961.
She was a natural born artist. She was wonderful at doing portraits and just as good drawing animals and nature, she drew in pencil, pen & ink, water colors and oil.
She was a wondrous cook and was still cooking home made bread at age 99.
She received the Boston Cane in 2021, and was a life member of the
Daughters of Union Veterans.
She is survived by her five sons-Paul and his wife Claudia MacKillop of Sumner, Gregory and his wife Nancy MacKillop of Bryant Pond, Timothy and his wife Linda MacKillop of Bryant Pond, Duffy Ellsworth and his wife Melanie of Bryant Pond and Brian Ellsworth and his fiancée` Marianne of Massachusetts; four daughters-Bonnie York and her husband Donald of Bryant Pond, Susan Ellsworth of Lewiston, Wanda Morrow and her husband Philip of Otisfield and Vickie Morton and her husband Eric of Rumford Point; 1 sister Andrea Hoyt of Bryant Pond; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Howard of 58 years; two brothers Kenneth Swan and Keith Swan as well as one son Neil MacKillop.
The family would like to thank Andwell Hospice for their Professionalism, knowledge and tender care. A special thank you to Wanda and Nancy for all their help. They were always here when we needed them. What a wonderful group.

Graveside services were held at Lakeside Cemetery on Sunday September 14th at 3PM with Pastor Jones of the Bryant Pond Baptist Church officiating.
