Renie passed away at Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation on June 15th, just one day before her 81st birthday on June 16, 1944, surrounded by her family. She was born in Lewiston the daughter of Corry Bonney Sr. and E. Shirley Bonney (Foss)
She was educated in North Paris and West Paris schools, graduating in 1962. She married Albert Hammond in July of 1962 and later had a son Albert Jr. who passed at birth.
Renie grew up in West Paris then spent many years in Woodstock. She was currently residing back in West Paris .
All her working years were spent in local factories finally retiring from Oxford Aviation.
Renie enjoyed her flowers both inside and outside her home, along with bird watching at the feeders at her windows, she watched many sports including NASCAR. Her greatest enjoyment was family gatherings, especially during the holidays. One of her best loves were her many dogs through the years. Renie is survived by a brother Kirby Bonney and his wife Lorraine; sisters Bonita Witman and husband Carl, Deborah Holtzman and husband Wayne, Marlene McNally and husband Edward; sister-in-law Linda Bonney; and many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as her dog Scooter.
She was predeceased by her companion of many years Bruce Abbott; a son Albert Hammond Jr; her parents, brothers Corry and Owen Bonney; a sister Connie Coffin; sister-in-law Marjorie Bonney; nephews Kenny Hill, Joe Allen and Derek Bonney.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Norway Center for Health and Rehab foe their special care of Renie.
Graveside services will be held on September 6th at 1 PM at the Pleasant Pond Cemetery in Sumner.
