James E. (Jim) Lobb
James E. Lobb of Norway, Maine passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME surrounded by his family after many years of health issues. Born December 12, 1949 to George and Evelyn (Hartman) in Lynn, MA. He attended Lynn Public Schools and graduated from Lynn Tech. Upon graduation Jim entered the U.S. Navy where he served aboard the Charles H. Roan and was honorably discharged in 1972. He worked many years as a machinist, retiring from GE in 2000.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend time in the woods. He loved to hunt and fish; he passed his love for the outdoors onto his kids and grandchildren. Some of their fondest memories are casting lines from the shore or on the boat. Jim loved to play his guitar. He was self-taught and quite talented.
Jim is survived by his siblings George, Steve, Jayne and John, his children James and wife Jennifer, Bethany and husband Devin, Amy and her husband Mitchell and his daughter in law Jessica. He is also survived by his grandchildren Riley, Brianna, Montana, Kassidy, Morgan, Tyrah, Gabby, Risto and Erica, great grandchildren Elijah and Elorah and his former wife Cathy (Hunt). He also leaves behind some very close nieces and nephews Katie, Bryan, Jonathan and Sean. He was predeceased in death by his parents, daughter Kristen and son Matthew. Graveside services will be held on August 9th at the Lutheran Cemetery in Harrison, ME
