Kelly J Vascik (Olson) 64, of Bethel passed away on October 16, 2020 at Androscoggin Hospice House after her very short battle with Lung Cancer. She was born April 25, 1956 in Rumford, the daughter of George Olson Sr, and Barbara (Learned) Olson. She attended Telstar High School. She held a number of jobs that included Kendall Dowel Mill, Newton and Tibbetts, bartending, accounting at Sunday River, sewing at home and most recently Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Kelly enjoyed NASCAR, going to concerts with her daughters, quilting, sewing, and kayaking. She would be found spending all her free time with her grandchildren, grand furbabies who she loved unconditionally and also her long time best friend Sue Cross. Kelly was loved by many and thought of as a second mom and nana to her daughters friends. She will be greatly missed by all in this community.
Kelly is survived by her three daughters Gena Morgan of Canton, Taleah and Jason Buck of Woodstock, and Natasha Vascik of Bethel; four grandchildren Russell Haines, Kevin Merrill Jr, and Kaitlyn and Olivia Buck. She was predeceased by both of her parents and her two brothers George Olson Jr and infant Andrew Olson.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the Spring. Any donations can be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
