Norma Ring Martin Knight
West Paris

Norma Ring Martin Knight, 101, died qt the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris on July 11, 2017. She was born in Greenwood on April 21, 1916 the daughter of the late B. Colby Ring and Mary Estella (Lary) Ring. She went to grade school on Rowe Hill in Greenwood and graduated from Woodstock high School in 1933.
Norma worked at Ecko Wood Products in Locke Mills for 17 years and later at several nursing homes. In 1951 she bought her “beloved farm” on the Wesley Road in Greenwood, where she lived for 51 years before moving to West Paris in 2002.
Norma is survived by 2 sons-Colby & Barbara Martin of Buckeye, Arizona and Franz Martin of Los Angeles California; 2 daughters-Louise Yates of West Paris and Carmen Maldonado of Longmont Colorado and daughter-in-law Beverly Tuttle of Gorham, New Hampshire; 7 grandchildren Terry (Emily) Martin, Wade (Nicole) Martin, Brian Martin, Marcia (Shawn) Huston, Jeffrey (Joanne) Yates, John Maldonado and Gabriel (Mary Ross) Maldonaldo; 8 great grandchildren Emmanuel, Stephen Martin, Phillip Martin, Joshua (Linda) Yates, Hannah Huston, Kim Moore and Heather Geer Esperanza Maldonado; and 3 great great grand children Lukas and Josie Yates and Scarlett Geer.
She was predeceased by her husbands Glenn Martin and Roy Knight; 2 sons Carson and Richard Kent Martin; 1 grandson Noland Martin; three brothers Sidney, Murry “Ducky” and B. Albert Ring and 2 sisters Hope Caskey and Martha Ring in infancy.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements by Cliff Gray Cremation and Funeral Services, 60 Andrews Road, Bryant Pond, Maine.
