Daddy, you are a good man, a good example in all areas of life, and most importantly a man who loves God. I purposely write in the present tense for you are not past, you are present— “to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord”. Because you knew and accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord of your life, Jesus, the ultimate Chain-Breaker, freed you from your mortal shackles, released you from the prison of years of pain, and welcomed you with open and loving arms into His eternity. Those who know Jesus, as you did, know even though we mourn and miss you, our reunion is coming. Daddy, I am so proud to be your daughter. I am so blessed that God gave you to me as a dad. As I have done throughout my life, I will strive to live up to your expectations— seeking God’s will in each decision and His guidance throughout my days. I love you more than words can express and will miss you each moment until God sees fit to bring me Home.
